In a word? Iconic. That’s how I’d sum up the Whataburger brand and everything that goes along with it. “Owning orange” was my mantra when I approached crafting design work and giving design direction on this account. It’s never a bad thing to have a world-class baker as your neighbor. Even better when she lets you help her to build her brand identity. This “southern bakeshop with a flair for the old-fashioned” provides a rare opportunity to be retro-inspired in a modern setting. Two things that have to be put together the right way to work - like sugar and flour. This work was done along side my buddy Robb from Harsky.com.
